Neighborhood Picnic 

Hi reader! 

We're writing to  remind you about our upcoming neighborhood picnic and let you know that time is running out to purchase meal vouchers for the event. The picnic will take place on Saturday September, 12th. You can join us on right on Winona Blvd., between Chestnut Hill and Chapel Hill Drive from 12- 4 PM. 

Meals: 

The picnic will be catered by Sticky Lips BBQ and will include a pulled pork sandwich or lentil burger with two sides. Orders must be received by Monday, September 7th.  To place your order just CLICK HERE.

Due to the nature of the contract we signed with Sticky Lips it is highly unlikely that we will be able to sell additional meals at the picnic. Therefore its very important to purchase meal vouchers in advance on winonawoods.com, at the link included below, or from your street captain.
 

Free Vouchers: 

If you were given free meal vouchers as a thank you for your donation to the Winona Woods 100 Funding Campaign this spring. RSVP to Amy DeYager at amydey@rochester.rr.com  by Monday, September 7th with the number of free vouchers you have as well as your meal selections so we can place an order for your meal. If you do not do this we can not guarantee to have a meal ready for you at the picnic. Once you have done that you can just bring that free voucher directly to ticket table in order to claim your complementary thank you meal(s). 

Volunteers:
We are still short a handful of volunteers for the picnic. If you can lend a hand or are willing to donate a baked good to the bake sale please

Events: 
We have a great big slate of events for everyone at the picnic. Kids will have a chance to meet Elmo, we'll have visits from the St. Paul Blvd. Fire Department and the Irondequoit Police Department. There will also be games of chance such as duck pond and milk bottles. In addition, we will continue to host our neighborhood bike parade and coloring contest(entry details below).

Weather: 

The neighborhood picnic is rain or shine event. However, this year we have a great big tent to keep everyone dry in the event of rain.

We have had a big team working to coordinate this year's event for our neighbors and we can't wait to see all of you and your families out celebrating the close of yet another great summer in our wonderful neighborhood!
