Town of Irondequoit Active Transportation Plan

This summer when Supervisor Bello visited our association meeting there was a lot of talk about improving access to the town hall campus by bike and foot in order to get to the 4th of July Festival. However, with the new library taking shape on the same site, the ability for residents to be able to arrive safely and efficiently by bike or foot has become even more important.

Recently, the association was asked to share a copy of a letter sent to Supervisor Bello from a fellow Irondequoit resident and blogger, Mike Governale about the need to consider fostering the development of an active transportation plan in Irondequoit to address this issue.

Winona Woods spent some time collecting your thoughts, at the last meeting on October 6th. We will now use your input to draft a letter on behalf of all of us to send to Town Hall. If you couldn’t make it, take advantage of the comment boxes below this post to give input.
