Irondequoit Neighborhoods Melon Hoist

Would you like to represent Winona Woods in the first annual Irondequoit Neighborhoods Melon Hoist at the Fourth of July Festival? A melon hoist is when a representative form each association comes on stage an holds a melon from an outstretched arm, the timer starts and the representative from the association that is able to hold it up the longest wins -- think a German Beer Stein Hoist but with mellons. We'd like to use mellons because before Irondequoit suburbanized it was very famous for the "Irondequoit Mellon" grown here.

We anticipate the event to occur mid afternoon on July 4th at Town Hall, but will have more precise times once we get the official go ahead from them. Right now, we are looking to see if we have competitors. If you'd like to participate please email us at contact@winonawoods.com by Monday, June 18th. The slot will be first come, first serve!
