Winona Woods 2015 Funding Campaign

WW100

Over the past year we’ve been so thankful to see you and your enthusiasm at our meetings, events and activities. You’ve volunteered with us, written us or helped us in some way, shape or form to successfully establish Winona Woods. We know that it’s friends like you that make our neighborhood special and that’s why we’re hoping to partner with you and 99 other extraordinary residents in order to continue our efforts to improve our already wonderful neighborhood.

As we are sure you are aware, this past year has been a banner year for our community. During this time Winona Woods has demonstrated the ability not only to plan and execute activities and events but also help to create meaningful connections between neighbors like you. A successful summer picnic, massive community yard sale, orchestration of the largest Good Food Collective distribution site in Monroe County and the installation of Greenlight fiber optic internet service in the majority of our neighborhood have been just some of the things we have been able to organize with united effort.

We’ve heard how this neighborhood association you helped us build has instilled a sense of community among residents and develop pride in where they live. Yet, as much as we have accomplished together we have a long way to go. Looking ahead we have so many plans to work with caring residents like you  in order to offer even more improvements and opportunities. Improvements, which will work to designate our community as a truly desirable place to reside, retire or raise a family.

As an association we desire to be inclusive of all who wish to participate. Therefore we have chosen not to charge dues to our neighbors. As a result, our current operating budget is so minuscule it often requires upfront investment from the pockets of our own board members as not to drain the account entirely. Meeting space fees, website hosting and the cost of materials and supplies for events are often carefully juggled in order to maintain a balance in our account and disallows us from making other investments in our community.

We are in desperate need of additional funding in order to continue our efforts. We know you believe in our mission and we were hoping we could count on you for your support in the form of a small donation.

Below, we have included information on donating to our current funding campaign such as graduated giving levels and associated thank you gifts. Winona Woods is a certified 501c3 organization and all gifts are entirely tax deductible. Although a donation of just $30 from 100 residents would allow us to fund the majority of our goals for this year, any gift would be more than appreciated.

With Many Thanks,
The Winona Woods Neighborhood Association Board
